Plane Crash Caught on Video

On Saturday, the 10th of December, 2011 a light cargo plane owned by Innovators Technology Inc. crashed into a slum area at Paranaque City after taking off from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines. The crash killed 3 people on board the plane and more than a dozen people on the ground. The crash was followed by a fire which razed several homes, leaving over 600 families homeless.

The plane took off from Runway 13-31 at 2:11 pm, and was headed for San Jose, Mindoro where it was scheduled to pick up cargo. Shortly after take-off, Captain Timothy Albo reported some problems and contacted the air traffic controllers at the Manila airport, and requested for an emergency landing. The plane, however, never made it back to the airport. Among those killed were co-pilot Jessie Kim Lusitca and passenger Julius Dorado. Paranaque city officials are now providing assistance to those who lost their homes in the fire following the crash.

A few days after the incident, a video clip of the incident was sent to GMA Network by Mardy Sultia, who lived close to the crash site. The 32-second video clip captures the exact moment as the plane flew over a dense residential area, eventually spiraling out of control and exploding into a huge fireball. Mr. Sultia began filming as soon as he heard what sounded like "gunshots" coming from the plane. The noise could clearly be heard at the first part of the video clip.
