If you've been paying attention to the international news channels lately, you are probably aware by now of the severe drought (said to be the worst in 60 years) in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Somalia in the eastern part of Africa. More than 11 million people in these countries are directly affected, and the lives of many children are at risk.In Somalia alone, at least 29,000 people have already died, with the death toll still rising. Lack of humanitarian aid and concrete action by these countries' governments are making things worse. On top of that, there is also an ongoing war in Somalia right now, which makes things even more difficult for the Somalian people. The people are desperate, and they need your help.
The people of Africa need donations. You may help through the World Food Programme. Click here to support their relief operations.
