Newspaper columnist Ramon Tulfo and actor Raymart Santiago were involved in a fistfight at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Sunday afternoon, and the incident was caught on camera by another passenger.
According to reports, the incident began when Ramon Tulfo was stopped by Raymart Santiago from taking photos of his wife, actress Claudine Barretto, who was allegedly scolding a ground staff member of Cebu Pacific. In a radio interview, Tulfo said that he had just arrived from Davao and saw Claudine Barretto scolding and yelling at the airline employee, after discovering that their luggage was missing. According to Tulfo, Ms. Barretto was cursing at the employee and threatened to have her fired, so he approached her to try to calm her down. It was then that he also brought out his cellular phone to take photos. Raymart Santiago tried to grab his cellphone, and the fistfight began.
According to Tulfo, several of the couple's companions approached and punched him, so he decided to fight back. Airport staff and security guards then came over to stop the fight, and pulled away those involved.
Airport officials are now investigating this incident.
